It's been 5 years since 18 year old Kyra Granger survived the Orthaliac. A disease that spread across the world, leaving several billion dead. Including her parents and sister. 

Living in one of the many heavily guarded safe zones, Kyra spends her days trying to survive with Mitch, her childhood best friend and others who ended up sharing similar fates.
