Synkkä menneisyys alkaa tulemaan ilmi. Perheensä ei olekaan niin viaton mitä Sandra kuvitteli. Kartanon vieressä oleva järvi peittää salaisuutensa viimeiseen asti, kunnes kaikki yhtäkkiä herää eloon. Synnit on sovitettava. Sandra on kuusitoista vuotias tyttö englantilaisesta rikkaasta perheestä, joka on elänyt ennen paranormaaleja kokemuksiaan melko villiä elämää. Hän asuu kartanossa ainoana lapsena vanhempiensa kanssa, jotka ovat ansiokkaita juristeja. Sandran vanhemmat ovat kuitenkin usein työmatkoilla, jonka takia talo on yksinomaan hänen. Tarina saattaa herättää lukijassa ahdistusta ja pelkoa. En suosittele lukemaan öiseen aikaan, varsinkaan ennen nukkumaanmenoa. Ei perustu tositapahtumiin.
