After training with Pyrrha, Jaune went to bed and had a vivid dream. He found himself in an unfamiliar city that looked nothing like the four Kingdoms. Curious about the strange sounds he heard, he decided to explore the place. As a Huntsman-in-training and an aspiring hero, he couldn't ignore the possibility that someone might need his help. However, when he arrived at his destination, he was shocked to find that the city was overrun by zombies.

The only people that stood by him are Ruby, Blake, his team, CFVY, and the Beacon staff. He was disowned and replaced by an adopted son that the Father said is useful compared to Jaune. This however leaves him alone with only verbal support by his team and friends, and he is forced to live outside the dorms for a bit. For a few months Jaune makes himself a home in the Forest of Beacon and due to some political nonsense he has to send his weapon back home, he has to use spare weapons from the armory at the school and learn how to use them. In no time he gets better and through training he catches up to his friends, but thats not all fate has in store for him as he would become more than just a man, he would become the 'Dark Knight' of Remnant.
