Ashley Mariana Reyez is a high school student attending summer school before her senior year starts. She doesn't have many high expectations going into summer school she's just there because she has to but things take a bit of a weird turn when she comes face to face with her old rival Emil Parker Cortez.
Emil Cortez has always been a smart kid always besting her in everything through kindergarten, elementary, middle school, and now unfortunately it seems also high school. While Ashley is devastated by seeing her old tormentor she can't help but be confused about his presence in summer school. Emil has always been smart, popular, and unfortunately attractive. To Ashley, it makes no sense why he would be in summer school with her and in all of her classes helping her at that.
Perhaps the two will get closer to each other before senior year starts and rekindle their past complicated relationship.
