There she meets Jude Archer, Asher Bensen and Seth Wesley. The only other people like her -Maudite like her- that she's ever met. The only others she's ever even heard of.

Arthur and Ophelia Dawson, a father and daughter are running said "safe place" and looking for other Maudits people like them.

Arthur and Ophelia claim to want to protect them but there's many questions that strangely only Blair seems to ask, and strangely she never gets a straight answer.

The Dawsons never leave, so how are they getting the money to live in a damn mansion? Why is there a mansion in the middle of nowhere? Why can't Blair, Jude, Asher or Seth ever leave?

And the only question they always seem to fully ignore:
How are they finding people like her?
