Darkened Stones (Cliff Jumper X OC)

Three months after her ninth birthday, only child Catalina "Kitty" Sterling and her parents Solstice and Amethyst stumble across a battle between the Auto Bot leader Optimus Prime and the Con warlord Mega Tron during a morning walk in Chicago, Illinois. During this, Solstice and Amethyst use their bodies to shield their child from the hit from the vile warlord and are fatally wounded. In their final moments, the couple sacrifice themselves to allow Optimus to force the warlord to retreat and safely escape with Kitty, whom he later partners with Auto Bot soldier Cliff Jumper. To honor their sacrifice, Optimus and the team's medic Ratchet retrieve Solstice and Amethyst's lifeless bodies from a hospital and lay them to rest in two sandy graves outside their base with help from their teammates that evening. Ten years later, Kitty, now a young adult, and Cliff Jumper, who is now her travel companion and combat partner, battle several Con soldiers at a energy mine in the countryside and finish the soldiers off with the help of their friends.
