The Garden of Consciousness
After being murdered, a young woman wakes up in what appears to be paradise - a place where everyone walks around naked, indulges in endless feasts, sex, and celebration, where anything can be desired and granted, and where disease and death no longer exist. But unlike everyone else, she can't remember who she was before arriving.
While surrounded by people who seem eternally content, she feels a growing sense of unease. Her questions lead her to the Father - a wise figure who governs Eden - but the more she uncovers, the more she suspects that this paradise may not be what it seems. Perhaps it isn't paradise at all, but part of a greater experiment - and she may be at its center.
A speculative novel that blends science and philosophy, The Garden of Consciousness explores the meaning of awareness, the pursuit of happiness, and the nature of humanity. Through her journey, the protagonist confronts hedonism, stoicism, and existentialism in search of truth - and of herself.
