Emma Hwang lost her mother only a year ago and doesn't know why. One day, she came home late in the evening from college and found her mother unconscious and bleeding in the middle of the kitchen. Strange things happened that night, things she doesn't remember clearly. Everything became a blur and just a blackout for her. But one thing was clear. She had lost the only parent she had.

She now mourns her mother's loss alongside her best friends--Shownu and Adri. Shownu taught her boxing for self-defense, and Adri helped her get a job at the strip club. After all, there are bills to pay.

With Emma's new kick-boxing skills, she doesn't fear working late at a place considered unsafe for women; she can save and take care of herself outside any risky situation, until one night, when four men dressed in black came to the club and waited explicitly for her to finish her shift. When she encountered them outside, their eyes began to glow a vibrant turquoise, and their arms were covered in tattoos resembling ancient hieroglyphics. She didn't have a chance to fight them because another blackout happened, just like the day her mother died, and she ended up waking up tied to a bed that wasn't hers.

The kingdom of Ethya is dying alongside the rest of the ocean, and not even its siren healers can do anything about it. Those in power and politics would like to see its final doomsday, while others run in fear, worried for the safety of their friends and families.

This underwater kingdom can only be saved with stuff from legends, fables, and things that might not be real. Nonetheless, the royal army will stop at nothing to find their only hope of survival--the lost Princess of Ethya.
