***Two Families; One New State*** -The Mullins family once ranched in Fredericksburg, Texas. They were big time ranchers and cowhands. After fighting several outlaws to keep their ranch; they decided to move to Willamette Valley, Oregon. For a few months there, it wasn't that bad. The town grew bigger, and people were offering to help around the ranch. People were thankful for the Mullins because they brought in good food and supplies. Mr. Mullins and his wife Mrs. Mullins share 4 children together; 3 sons and 1 daughter. Mr. Mullins treated his daughter as a man or as called a cowboy. -The homesteaders had been living in Madison County, Montana since the couple got married. They had a rough life in Montana, but the Cowhide family made it through. James Cowhide and his wife, Christy Cowhide, share 5 children together; 2 sons and 3 daughters. The family didn't have much like close nor money and that is why they wanted their daughters to marry rich cowboys. All the daughters do is motherly and wife chores. The sons do things around the farm. After years of living in Montana, Mr. and Mrs. Cowhide will be moving to Willamette Valley, Oregon.

Life on a ranch isn't easy by a long shot, especially when the boss hog is a woman, but it's all she has known. Horse rustling causes her to take drastic measures, along with her cowhands. Erik McBride has just started working with a woman that he doesn't get along with. But he needs the money to support his family back in Georgia. His job hangs in the balance already, and rustlers try to make things harder on everyone still. Push comes to shove and Erik can't believe what he's done when he accept the job of being the Boss Lady's Man. He annoys her. She confuses him. What could possibly go wrong?
