Sonic is born sickly/Terminally ill in this AU, doctors can't exactly figure out why. He's perceived as weak by everybody around him and becomes a regular target for all kinds of harassment at his high school and in his own household. He somehow discovers that he's developed super speed that doesn't take up a lot of the little energy he has and uses it to his advantage, and it eventually changes him.

(I never know how to put covers on my stories that don't look cringe, so please remember that even if the covers of the stories are sorta goofy, I take the stories SERIOUSLY, don't be fooled by the cover.)

Due to the deadline to submit the fanfic, I had to make changes to the original ideas I had for the story. Flashbacks were shortened and were counted by the characters themselves. Sonic and friends unwillingly travel to another dimension and upon arrival realise that they are not able to freely show their special abilities to the public or bad things may await. They have to live mundane lives during their time there. Some get jobs in order to blend in and earn their keep. Little do they know a certain egg themed villain is attempting to find this world to conquer as well as defeat the heros hiding in plain sight. Will they stop him without being captured by the villains of this world? Or will the villain rise to the top, rendering the heros useless? Eventual Sonadow, Rougeknux, Blazeamy, and Mephilver. 16+ there are adult themes and topics in this book not suitable for minors, nothing explicit, which is why I put 16+ rather than 18+.
