Charlotte Daeè, Christine's younger sister had always been a vocal prodigy, whereas her older sister was quite a talented dancer. Christine, though older seemed to have forgotten about their traumatic past with a certain Raoul De Changy, even if Charlotte hadn't. Nevertheless, during their years at the opera populaire, Charlotte had been getting better acquainted with what she believed to be an angel sent from her father in heaven to look after her. This angel of music aided her in her musical career and helped her ascend to the glory she deserved. It was just when she began to grow her fame in the opera, that Charlotte realized that she was falling in love with her Angel.
