Amelia is confident, funny, messy, an irresponsible business owner - and barely getting through.

Joel is sweet, well liked by the community, unkempt, not very cool, a little bit cynical - and somehow finding himself increasingly charmed by the bookshop owner he recently got to know.

The year is 1997. Amelia Reed lives in picturesque New Burrows where she is the owner of McGuffin, her bookshop that she manages with her employee Joel Parker. Watch her struggle with self sufficiency, business and love, as well as the lack of anonymity that comes with living in a small town along with some often disapproving neighbors.
