Elise Hart has everything planned out: graduate high school as valedictorian, go to an Ivy League school, and apply for a high-paying job.

That is, until her plans come crashing down because of an incident for which she and two others were blamed, which takes a toll on everything in her life. Suddenly, she finds herself back to square one.

Now having to start over, she suddenly stumbles upon Trey, a guy in their school who sits next to her in physics and strikes up an unlikely friendship with him. Little does Elise know, Trey might be the one who saves her from her misery.
