This is a story about two college students from very different backgrounds who end up falling in love. One is very popular and the other is not popular. At all. But he's (Leonid) ok with not being popular because the last time he was popular, it was for messed up reasons. Even though he understands how untrue (and even true) rumours can ruin people's reputation he's still weary of another student, Ashton. There's rumours about him being arrested multiple times, picking on different students for fun, and some even go as far as saying he murdered someone. There's also more rumours about him being severely abused by his parents and others about him being spoiled rotten. No one really knows what's true and what isn't and Ashton never addresses any of them.
