Nor do I want to lose everything we've built. But most importantly, I do not want you to lose more than just your father." Miles's frown deepened as he pulled his hand back. "Then you know why I can't lose him." You met his determined gaze, your frown mirroring his. "Touché..." you admitted softly. "But now you understand why I must stop you."
