As our eyes locked, it felt as though time itself paused, suspended in the unspoken exchange between us, the intensity of his gaze drew me in, unraveling layers of curiosity within me with each fleeting moment we held each other's eyes.
"you have a girlfriend?" i blurted out.

he looked at me with his eyebrows slightly raised.
"well you know-" i started trying to find an excuse, "people ask these things, w-when they're trying to become f-friends and stuff.." i trailed off like an idiot.
"Yeah?" he let out, a smirk never leaving his face.
He has such a beautiful smile.
"Just so she wouldn't get the wrong idea" as if i already haven't made it worse, i just continued, "y-you know, u-um these things do happen s-sometimes" i kept speaking not making any sense.
"what wrong idea?" He folded his arms across his chest, causing the fabric of his shirt to tighten over the contours of his muscles.
I swallowed harshly.
"forget it" i waved my hand around as i looked down at my cup to avoid his gaze, but i couldn't quiet down my curiosity so i peered at him through my lashes.
His face was full of amusement but he hid it well.
