Each generation of Monicroffs' bested every year they attended, from being top student to saving a magical realm back in the War of Magicals and Naturals some hundred years ago. Now, it's her turn to live up to that legacy, her turn - to be the best, her turn - to leave a mark with her name on it. Her turn to make the Monicroff name proud, and her father. Until she gets sent to the wrong house. All Monicroff's belonged in the Herelds House, not the Seekers . . . She's sent to the Seekers and, and it feels like hell's waiting to swallow her up. To make matters worse, she meets this lonely looking boy in the Corner of the courtyard and finds he's a Seeker too . . . Only he's not as nice and demure as she thought he was. Before long, Teagan must deal with the trials of being a fourteen year old first year Mage with a legacy for a name in the wrong house. This comes with bullying, insecurities, fears of rejection, failing classes, and basically doing everything wrong and butchering the Monicroff name. Just when she thinks it can't get worse. . . She's accused of stealing a magic amulet which could unleash a monster on the world and possible start another war between the Naturals and the Magicals. Also her Father isn't speaking to her. So there's that too. COVER BY @-designdistrict She is worth everything and more!
