Akuryo; It might as well have been a name to him. Well, now it was, anyway.

All his life, Ren has known one simple fact: As a shapeshifter, he would never be welcome in the world, never seen as anything more than vermin at best, and hellspawn at worst.

But when his attempt to do the right thing lands him in more trouble than he realized, he decides that what seemed like a fatal mistake might be his last chance to leave everything behind. To start over.

Simple rules are set: Trust no one, stay alone, and stay alive. Then, once the year is over, live a quiet life as a normal human.

But as friendships form left and right, fears demand to be faced, and the world unravels at its seams, there's only one thing that's clear:

Ren thought he knew by now what fate had up its sleeve, but it seems it's decided instead that it won't be that simple.

Ren's return from juvenile hall finally gave the Thieves the chance they had to talk about why Mementos still exists, despite Yaldabaoth's fall. When they return to investigate, Ren is acting more and more brash and reckless, and Makoto worries it may have something to do with Arsene and Satanael's odd lack of a 3rd tier evolution. Or they thought it was a lack. When the Reaper ambushes them, it turns out that it was about to meet its match. And it was as dangerous as it was suave. It's name? Raoul. - Vanilla P5, with the 3rd Tier Personas from Royal. Slight canon divergence, because the Metaverse stays around after Yaldabaoth's fall, with mention of other palaces as well, and Joker wields twin knives, not just one. Gameplay divergence because the Reaper is an ACTUAL THREAT (like in Striker's, god the Reaper is tough in Striker's) Shumako, Other changes to the lore, like Haru works with Ren in Leblanc, Sojiro adopted Ren, Persona's can communicate with their User's in the real world, and a few other little tweaks and stuff. Vengeance Thief by Nata_KARU

The Cognition of individuals and society, with those reflecting on how they perceive the world leads to places called Palaces. A Palace is a manifestation of "distortion", strong negative or corrupt thoughts that warp the perceptions of people into a hazard for themselves and others. As such, some people can view things how they want to depending on their cognition. One person known as Suguru Kamoshida, is a teacher at Shujin Academy who views the school as his own personal kingdom. He is a lustful, vain, cruel, and utterly selfish bully who abuses his female students emotionally, physically, and sexually, even going as far as pursuing a toxic relationship with ones that he had hooked an eye on. As for the male students, he subjects them to an utterly ruthless training regimen that many of them compare to torture, and will even use as punishment if his team loses a game. As such, he is an utterly cruel and diabolical person until a group stops him known as the Phantom Thieves of Heart. Sick of the deception, hypocrisy, and corruption around them, the Phantom Thieves are devoted to "stealing" the corrupt hearts of evil adults in order to change and reform society for the better. After taking down Kamoshida, their population slowly grew more taking down one target after the next. Before long they were known as a famous group working outside of the law. The Personas they use are formed by individuals who find themselves in the Metaverse and are dealing with feelings of frustration of being wronged or taken advantage of. Each Persona is different for each member of the Phantom Thieves each passing unique and special powers. Things seem to be going well for them until a new issue occurs as it leads to a new member joining them known as the Vengenceful Thief. Who is this and what kind of Persona does he or she have? But being fearful if he'd leave or not, he decided to not get too close or he'd be hurt again. But what happens when time and time again that boy protected Rin in more ways than one that Rin ended up opening up to him, only to find out he's almost the same. Both became almost inseparable. Things started to turn out well. If you put aside the fact that his demon brother, Amaimon, had just kidnapped him and caged him up like an animal, meeting a strange human girl who's able to teleport? And too meeting his biological father, Satan, who he later found out is not like how others say he is, aside from those fun adventures. Things turned out for the better. After months of getting to know and love Futaba Sakura, knowing that she is the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with, it's all ripped away by one man. Takuto Maruki has decided that people cannot be allowed to think for themselves, and that they should never have to feel pain, well, unless you interfere with his plan. After being thoroughly trounced by the Phantom Thieves, Maruki makes one last ditch attempt to break the theives, and kills Futaba. In his blind rage, Akira Kurusu, otherwise known as Joker takes matters into his own hands, and stops the mad God in his tracks. Time reverts to its original self, with Akechi dead and gone and Maruki and Futaba alive and well, and Akira in Juvinile Detention. After being freed from prison, he finds out that something went wrong when the timeline was restored. Futaba knows him not as her lover, but merely as his friend. Now Akira must find a way to cope with this new life in Hometown, while trying to juggle the return of the Metaverse, and Futaba tries to find her way through the complex feelings she has for Joker, but can't quite explain, as well as the dreams that almost feel like memories. Will she push through and recover her memories and her love? Or will she and Akira both fade into the Mementos of what they have lost. I took a couple liberties with events and the Timeline, but overall, I stayed fairly close to the original game's story. This is a passion project that sprung to mind while driving, and now I'm hyperfixated... Welp, time to churn out a book. ENJOY READING IT!! She constantly worked on making her own heart strong, but had no luck. That was until a new transfer student came along the way and caught her attention.....
