Akuryo; It might as well have been a name to him. Well, now it was, anyway.
All his life, Ren has known one simple fact: As a shapeshifter, he would never be welcome in the world, never seen as anything more than vermin at best, and hellspawn at worst.
But when his attempt to do the right thing lands him in more trouble than he realized, he decides that what seemed like a fatal mistake might be his last chance to leave everything behind. To start over.
Simple rules are set: Trust no one, stay alone, and stay alive. Then, once the year is over, live a quiet life as a normal human.
But as friendships form left and right, fears demand to be faced, and the world unravels at its seams, there's only one thing that's clear:
Ren thought he knew by now what fate had up its sleeve, but it seems it's decided instead that it won't be that simple.

If the love insterest doesn't love them back before it's too late the victim will stop breathing due to the flowers in their lungs. The only way to get rid of the disease without the love interest returning the feelings would be the victim getting them surgically removed, resulting in them loosing their emotions entirely. Star Tears: Another result of one-sided love, much like the Hanahaki. However the person will cry star shaped tears that make twinkling noises when hitting the ground. This is not removable, meaning the only way to stop the victim from going blind would be for the love interest to love them back. The world of Persona 5 is different. No Akira Kurusu/Ren Amamiya = No Joker. So what will fate do to cover for this issue? Meet Takuma Shirase, the delinquent transfer student in this new retelling of Persona 5. From new or familiar characters, to the new perspective that this protagonist takes on this woorld that he lives in, join his journey as he conquers Palace for Palace with his version of the Phantom Thieves. My Key Item (Joker X Futaba) Persona 5 Royal
After months of getting to know and love Futaba Sakura, knowing that she is the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with, it's all ripped away by one man. Takuto Maruki has decided that people cannot be allowed to think for themselves, and that they should never have to feel pain, well, unless you interfere with his plan. After being thoroughly trounced by the Phantom Thieves, Maruki makes one last ditch attempt to break the theives, and kills Futaba. In his blind rage, Akira Kurusu, otherwise known as Joker takes matters into his own hands, and stops the mad God in his tracks. Time reverts to its original self, with Akechi dead and gone and Maruki and Futaba alive and well, and Akira in Juvinile Detention. After being freed from prison, he finds out that something went wrong when the timeline was restored. Futaba knows him not as her lover, but merely as his friend. Now Akira must find a way to cope with this new life in Hometown, while trying to juggle the return of the Metaverse, and Futaba tries to find her way through the complex feelings she has for Joker, but can't quite explain, as well as the dreams that almost feel like memories. Will she push through and recover her memories and her love? Or will she and Akira both fade into the Mementos of what they have lost. I took a couple liberties with events and the Timeline, but overall, I stayed fairly close to the original game's story. This is a passion project that sprung to mind while driving, and now I'm hyperfixated... Welp, time to churn out a book. ENJOY READING IT!! It's been nearly two years since the Calamity was sealed. Hyrule is slowly healing, but much needed to be done in terms of diplomacy and rebuilding. But when a mysterious group of strangers appear out of nowhere inflicted with Malice burns, Link is thrust into a quest once more as dark times loom over Hyrule. Ren's return from juvenile hall finally gave the Thieves the chance they had to talk about why Mementos still exists, despite Yaldabaoth's fall. When they return to investigate, Ren is acting more and more brash and reckless, and Makoto worries it may have something to do with Arsene and Satanael's odd lack of a 3rd tier evolution. Or they thought it was a lack. When the Reaper ambushes them, it turns out that it was about to meet its match. And it was as dangerous as it was suave. It's name? Raoul. - Vanilla P5, with the 3rd Tier Personas from Royal. Slight canon divergence, because the Metaverse stays around after Yaldabaoth's fall, with mention of other palaces as well, and Joker wields twin knives, not just one. Gameplay divergence because the Reaper is an ACTUAL THREAT (like in Striker's, god the Reaper is tough in Striker's) Shumako, Other changes to the lore, like Haru works with Ren in Leblanc, Sojiro adopted Ren, Persona's can communicate with their User's in the real world, and a few other little tweaks and stuff.
