Ghost does not know who he is without Lady Atta. Even though they escaped he still acts like her Light, following her to the Poison Jungle. Faced with a war-torn world and uncertainty everywhere he turns, Ghost wonders if he is cut out for the mission his Alate has in store for him.

Until now, he has never had a choice. Now that he does, he isn't sure which option to take. Which one he wants.

But it isn't Atta who inspires him to act. It's a young AntWing with vengeance on her mind, a dragon he used to detest because she was a better version of him: angry and with a lot to prove, but with the wherewithal to act. He follows her because that is what he is supposed to do - follow and light the way. 

It's the only life he knows.

Even though this story is rated Mature, it is only for the occasional fight scenes which include enough blood and gore to showcase the reality of fighting.

Wings of Fire: Lemming's Story by Echoes_of_Polaris

NOTE: The following is a fanfiction inspired by Tui T Sutherland's "Wings of Fire" saga. "Wings of Fire" does not belong to me, and much of the material included in this story is fanon, not canon, though several canon characters will be making appearances throughout the story. Taking place during the events of "Book 1: The Dragonet Prophesy" and the War of SandWing Succession, this is the story of Lemming. Lemming is a young IceWing of middle class rank, who has been a loyal soldier on Blaze's side in the war for a couple years. She's small for an IceWing of her age, but has been able to use this to her advantage to become a successful soldier and survive in the war. However, after a battle takes a turn for the worse, Lemming is left as one of the few survivors and imprisoned in the SkyWing arena. This new world is more brutal than the battles she'd fought in the war, and the SkyWings don't kill for necessity -they kill for entertainment. Can Lemming survive in this new kill or be killed world, or will she be just another body to be swept from the arena sand? NOTE 2: Some of the wording and phrasing of Pt4 comes straight from "The Dragonet Prophesy". That wording was created by Tui T. Sutherland, not me, though I am using it for descriptive purposes in those specific scenes, which first appeared in "The Dragonet Prophesy". All chapter cover artwork made and designed by me.
