It's been 325 years since the war between dragons and mortals. Now, pulled together by the roots of a tree whose branches reach through the clouds, it has healed from the scars and burns that were left behind. However, peace is only temporary. The realm of Lunaria, a land of magic and a mysterious past, has long since recovered from the brutal aftereffects of war. And, by chance, five adventurers find their fates intertwined by a mysterious force. Each burdened with secrets from their past, they are thrust into an adventure that will challenge their strengths and test their resolve. After saving a woman, they soon find that not all is as it seems when the woman reveals herself to be the Maiden of Knowledge. They had passed the test. But their meeting was cut short as fire bursts through the wall, knocking them unconscious. A woman wrapped in crimson robes takes a sacred tome of magic from the Hall of Knowledge. Now, united by a shared purpose, they embark on a journey across Lunaria, facing treacherous landscapes, time magic, and formidable foes. Along the way, unravelling the mysteries of their own pasts, and the connections that bind them together the man pulling the strings of the thief that ambushed them at the Hall of Knowledge reveals himself simply "G". A monster they would soon never forget. Strangers become family as they slowly realize what family means to each of them. And discoveries of their pasts illuminate the truth that their destinies were intertwined long before they stumbled onto each other. "Bound By Lies" is the first book in a series based on the story of my first game of Dungeons and Dragons I ran. It's a story that challenges perspective and the lies we tell to save the ones we love from heartbreak. Ultimately, it's a story about family. How that bond can be found in the most unexpected places and people.

*****BOOK ONE****** Set in a continent called Irevalen, where the skies are ruled by dragon-shifters - immortal beings who can take human form, but never fully shed their beast. Centuries ago, a Blood Treaty was made between dragons and the last surviving human kingdom. To maintain balance and peace, a dragon from the royal bloodline must bond with a human every 500 years - not just a marriage, but a soul-binding, deep magic deal that ensures dragons don't destroy the mortal realm with their fire and fury. The catch? The human bride is always chosen by fate. No one picks. No one can refuse. Or so they say. --- 🔥 The Male Lead: Kaelith Vyron, the current heir to the SKYCOURT throne - feared warrior, emotionless strategist, and cold-blooded dragon prince. Has rejected the idea of love his whole life. Is terrified of what the soul-bond might do to him (dragons who bond can be consumed by obsession). Is pissed that fate tied him to a weak, mortal girl. Thinks she'll break. Plans to scare her off. But she doesn't. And it wrecks him. --- 🕊️ The Female Lead: Liora Vane, 22-year-old healer's apprentice from the far southern coast. Orphaned young. Grew up with books, herbs, and freedom. Hates the idea of fate deciding who she marries. Thinks dragons are cruel, inhuman monsters. When she's taken from her village and presented to Kaelith, she fights back - hard. Swears she'll never belong to him. But then... she sees pieces of his humanity. And it terrifies her more than the fire ever did.
