Words swirled around Eleanor's head as she writhed in agony.
The image of James Potter's fist punching her repeatedly, of Peter kicking her, of Sirius' abusive words, and of Remus Lupin's cold, calculating gaze haunted her like ghosts in the dark.
"I just wish," she whispered. "For one thing."
"For someone to stick up for me."
Eleanor Delacour never wanted this. She never wanted to be bullied, to be tormented, to wish she could just restart her whole life. She only ever wished for one thing, all her life. She could stand the prejudice against her being French. Against her being a slytherin. Against being bullied by the marauders. But there was one thing she hated and could never understand.
Why didn't anybody stick up for her?

She was tired, she was so bloody tired of it all. From the constant nagging and picking and pulling to the waking up at 6 am everyday to do that stupid crap. She didn't think it was stupid really, she just didn't like having to do it. She didn't really like having to do schoolwork either, but she found herself to be fond of the teachers and the curriculums. Most of all though, she didn't mind being at school all too much because it kept her away from the house. She found James to be nice, and Sirius to be troublesome, Peter was quite thoughtful, but Remus, he was kind to her. She had found that Remus was her favorite of them all, he was really very kind to her. What she had really come to see though, was the fact that he had scars too, and that meant they matched. Mature content. There are certain parts of this story that I will put a trigger warning before but you should keep cautioun when reading because I mention a lot of triggering things and topics in this book including self harm, abuse, mental illnesses etc. Also, the first year is really shitty writing and like the first part of fourth but I swear it gets so much better.
