There has always been a darkness shrouding the old growth wood, known as the Stag's Head National Forest that surrounds the humble settlement of Twin Rivers Washington, and sprawls across the North Western Mountains. For years the small town has lived in harmony with it's Wildwood and the supernatural goings on therein, except for the forest-fire, mysterious disappearance, or death that has taken place every two decades since the town's founding, like a curse that unbeknownst to it's residents sees that the town is not utterly destroyed by the dark forces that surround it. This decade though, in the month Twin Rivers celebrates its Two-Hundred and Seventy-Forth year of existence, someone will strike a match and start a fire of such rageful savagery that the very soul of it will burn with fury, and set to turning once again the gears of an older and nearly forgotten realm.

A genderqueer hillbilly and a haunted woman must break a generational curse that has entwined their lives in the abandoned coal-stripped mountains of the Pennsylvania Wilds. *** Desperate to flee a dark past, Finley drives off a cliff and prays to the ancient hemlocks below to catch her fall. But in the abandoned hollows of the Pennsylvania Wilds, everything comes at a price. Tasked by an undead Not-Deer, Finley must find the three talismans that mark the mountain's boundaries in order to break a century old curse, one that has not only haunted the women in her family for generations, but has also bound the supernatural beings to the mountain, including the dead. Fortunately, the handsome genderqueer hillbilly up the road, River Hawthorne, is just as eager [maybe too eager] to break the curse. Together, they navigate the woods where hungry trees walk and other demonic haunts roam, growing closer every moment. But breaking the curse also comes at a price and Finley must decide what freedom is worth when her past comes crawling back through the woods to haunt her. THE DARK DESCENT VOLUME I: WHAT VENGEANCE COMES by EthanWRichardson

"SUMMER CAMP IS OVER, BUT HUNTING SEASON HAS JUST BEGUN" Thirteen years ago, a malevolent monster infiltrated minds, poisoning memories and corrupting happiness. Now, it returns with friends, plunging the small town of Woodbury into chaos. Isolation becomes survival as twisted nightmares stalk the streets. Lock doors, bar windows, and prepare to fight. Death is the only escape, but killing may be the key. Seven teenagers search for a lost outcast, unaware that their only hope lies with unlikely allies: an escaped convict, a private detective, and the enigmatic Whisperers of Wolfe Kreek. As the hunt intensifies, the Whisperers' cryptic warnings echo through the forest. "Heed the warnings of the Whisperers of Wolfe Kreek," they say, "and you'll pay the price, die twice." The clock ticks down, and the fate of Woodbury hangs in the balance. Prey and predator are not predetermined roles; they are choices. As the darkness closes in, the teens must confront their inner monsters. Will they become predators, embracing the primal urge to kill, or cling to their humanity in the face of unspeakable horrors? "This is a homage to a great many classic or modern horror movies I've seen, minor references, and this is my first ever book I've ever written, which took me 7 years. Now I can publish it, and I hope this gets the love it deserves." WARNING: VIEWER'S DESCESTION IS ADVISED. THIS IS FOR MATURE AUDIENCES. Monday, August 1 Dear Isaac, if you're reading this, that means you've turned eighteen. Congratulations, I'm so proud of you. I hope you had a great day! But unfortunately, that also means I'm not there to celebrate with you, I'm so sorry about that. I never thought I'd have to write this journal, but here I am. You're probably very confused, and I don't blame you, but your father wouldn't be able to properly explain to you everything about yourself, And if I don't make it, which I fear I don't, and I probably didn't or you wouldn't be reading this, there's got to be some way for you to find out, So, let's begin ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- His friend forces him on a hunting trip, where instead of a monster he finds quite the opposite... or so he thinks. Soon things start to get confusing. What happens when a dark past gets revealed? And old acquaintances show up? What exactly happened to his mother? Strange people, strange events, and most prominently, strange feelings... Can he resist them and stay safe? Or will he fall for them and get pulled into all kinds of danger..? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [[Word Count: 115.000]]] [All original (besides some inspired scenes) please don't copy. Thank you :)] ⚠️!!WARNING: INCLUDES ADULT THEMES AND/OR SEXUAL CONTENT. !! ⚠️ THESE CHAPTERS HAVE A/C (Adult Content) AFTER THE TITLE AND A WARNING AT THE START
