"You know you can't win against me, right?" the girl asked. She was threateningly pointing her wand at the boy's throat.
"Oh," Remus replied with an irritating mocking grin on his lips, and in a moment, he seized the girl by the waist with one hand and leaned her against the wall behind him in a not-so-kind way. He attached the girl's hand, where the wand is, to the wall with his free hand.
She was shocked.
"Even my kindness has its limits, princess. And you've already gone over it." He slowly removed his hand from her waist, picked up a few hairs that had fallen on her face, and tucked them behind her ear.
The girl remained silent as the proximity of their bodies to one another utterly blew her mind. Her heart raced as she struggled to make sense of the conflicting emotions coursing through her. The undeniable chemistry between them left her questioning everything she thought she knew about herself and their complicated relationship. She could no longer use the logic she had so heavily relied on.
"But I don't like to cause harm," Remus muttered, and they both swallowed as his concentrated stare went to the girl's lips. When her eyes locked with his once more, it appeared as though they had made a secret deal because they were both thinking the same thing. Remus gently stroked the girl's neck with his thumb.
"I'll look for alternative ways to win.
Their mouths met.

Remus' suitcase for Hogwarts was mostly covered in fragile books, the paint peeling off the covers as the binding bended easily from all the days of being read. He didn't consider this as odd - simply as bringing your friends along. It all started off as an act kindness... Remus never planned for it to turn out the way it did.
