After feeling alone and rejected for almost his whole life, Ruffrunner runs away. He escapes his duties and life hoping for a better one outside. All he finds instead is signs for a coming war against the hidden world and a night light. A female night light.

Eclipse had always been alone with no other dragons, not even family when she is captured by hunters and rescued by a male night light. She feels something blossom between them and wonders if he feels the same.
