Living life one day at a time in search for a safe haven and running from killer machines, Avery finds her true self and her purpose.
To say Daniel Thorne is damaged goods would be an understatement. His main mission is to save as many survivors as possible before wiping out the machines. Since the world came crashing down he's felt empty inside, that is until he meets Avery Blake. Suddenly he feels hopeful again, but every time he tries to connect with her he ends up pushing her further away. Danny realizes his feelings for her the moment he looks into her eyes. It's hard letting someone in after putting up a wall that you can't even break down yourself. Especially when the secrets you carry could make everyone you've grown to care for despise you.

They sick up for each other and do fun things together. He loves his dad and doesn't see the wrong in most things. One day Caleb tells Ella that Bradley and him are going on a trip with their dad and that she should go. She said yes, of course. Little did she know, what started out the shooting lessons in the middle of the woods would turn into their worst nightmare.
