Avery Blake has been a shy loner her whole life, until she meets Jason. A harmless dream of one man may possibly end the world. Machines begin to take over. Leaving Avery with only Jason in her life. To say Daniel Thorne is damaged goods would be an understatement. His main mission is to save as many survivors as possible before wiping out the machines. Since the world came crashing down he's felt empty inside, that is until he meets Avery Blake. Suddenly he feels hopeful again, but every time he tries to connect with her he ends up pushing her further away. Danny realizes his feelings for her the moment he looks into her eyes.
