It's 1943 and the war is starting to come towards a close...

Anthony and Benedict have been sent home from the war.

Anthony was on the front line and Benedict was in the war office in London but upon his brother's injury, Benedict was given permission to come home.

Once home Benedict picks up the mantle of running the family's home from his run ragged mother and aunt and decides to hire a governess for his unruly four year old sister and 6 year old brother who have, in the two years since the older two departed, scared off two dozen nurses...

Kate, Anthony's Nurse, suggests her friend, Miss Sophia Beckett who she knows is looking for work since leaving her role as a typist in London.

Benedict agrees to meet her and when he sees her he has the strangest sensation that he's met her before...

A magical night in London and a woman who disappeared leaving him with a broken heart. He could help find German spies all over the world but he couldn't find one woman In all of London...
