Luckily, before getting captured, Rui had been able to start reversing the infection in Akito. Tenma Tsukasa has a burning determination to rescue his friend-and crush-from the MIND before it's too late to get him back. Over the time Rui had been used as a mindless puppet by the MIND, his memories had begun to get more and more blurry and indistinct. Slowly, piece by piece, he was forgetting who he was. Before Wonderlands x Showtime happened to him, Rui had always felt so alone (apart from when he was with either both or one of his childhood friends, of course). He was prejudiced, ignored, avoided, et cetera. He stayed quiet during class and had never spoken much to anybody in school other than the school nurse, his teachers, his friend Kusanagi Nene, his other friend Akiyama Mizuki and some of their friends.
