Y'all buckle up because I'm rewriting the entire series-
(its basically the show if it had good writing. expect heavy deviations from the canon plot and references because why not)
Darkness has always been around. It's just taken the right people to find and harness it, and the right people to fight for the light, the hidden embers that prove that the world isn't as broken as everyone assumes it is.
When one man decides to hone the darkness to complete a masterplan years in the making, a mysterious guardian finds himself choosing two teenagers through an ancient ritual. Although wary at first, he decides to take the leap: they may just be the next generation needed to keep the work going.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste may have never initially asked for the roles. But eventually, they learn they have to accept it.
Because now, Ladybug and Cat Noir have stepped into a dangerous game, one that could determine the fate of reality as they knew it.

Everything is normal, with fathers trying to battle their sons and their partners to give up magical jewelry. The jewelry giving each of them the ability to be more than their normal selves for the time being, and as if it was enough, we bring in teen drama. So as Hawkmoth lays low, some may say it's pure coincidence, but the new girl comes into the city and takes all the attention, which leaves our bubbly Marinette jealous as her crush Adrien takes an interest in her. Not to rub more salt into her wound, Chat Noir has his eyes on the new hero as well. So as things seem to bump in Marinette's life, she can't help but blame it on Hawkmoth and accuse Spidergirl of being akumatized. Although her behavior isn't her usual self, will she convince Chat Noir that Spider girl is indeed working with their enemy, or is she going to push away her friends and seem like the bad guy? As much as I tried to stop thinking about my obsession with Spiderman and the Marvel Universe, Ladybug reminded me so much of it. Together they become great friends who fight crime under the watchful eye of Tony Stark. This book was discontinued on my profile and was adopted by another user.
