The Last Curator
If you're reading this, know that I am thouroughly embarrased. Truly. The date is February 4th, 2022. I am 15 years old. I wrote this story when I was 11, it is 10,000 words. I rewrote it 3 times- and I only made it to chapter 5/20. So despite it being inherently bad, I love this story and hold it dear to my heart. I love the poor dialogue and plot holes, and how I sound like the most annoying, arogant 11 year old to ever have existed. I have not edited this story since I stopped writing it years ago, not even for grammar errors. This story captures the essence of my childhood. Forever is Crashing Down on Me (Austin Carlile)
"Forever?" I asked him, watching as his features all shined through with happiness. I tilted my head to the side as he let out a small laugh. "Forever," he agreed, evoking a smile from me. When Austin said it, I believed it, I believed it with every single fiber of my being. I didn't believe it with anyone from the past, not even Stephan, my ex fiance. I don't know what it was about Austin that made it believable, and I hopped that nothing would be able to take him away from me. I knew it was a lot to ask, and I would be fine if he decided to leave me. Austin was good for me, he really was. There wasn't a doubt in my mind that he was good for me. He made me happy, I made him happy (as far as I could tell). He made me want to be a better person every day. I knew that he was more than what I wanted, and I was glad he was mine, that he has been mine for over a year. It would be hard if I had to leave his house one day knowing it would be the last time, but I would be able to deal with it. ~~~ {Note that I suck at writing descriptions so I kinda just put an actual part of the prologue as the description, sorry not sorry. I exited through the side entrance of the building and stood by the manhole cover, pulling it up and out of the way. I climbed down the ladder and slid the cover back over me, shrouding myself in pitch darkness. When I got to the ground, water splashed by my feet and I turned my phone flashlight on. Ice covered most of the walls and floor, except for the small puddle I stepped in. I looked around and started walking in the right direction. It was colder in the sewers this time of year and I almost slipped on ice a few times. When I saw familiar pipes and came to what looked like a concrete wall, a small smile formed on my lips. I stood in front of it for a moment, staring at it. "Come on, Angel." I muttered to myself. It's only been two years. I doubt much has changed. I took a deep breath in and reached up to pull the pipe above the closed door. I'm a lot taller now, so I didn't have to get on my tip toes like back then. The door parted open and I walked in slowly, hearing a thud behind me when it shut closed. It was quiet in the lair as I walked around, taking it all in. Most of it looked the same, while some parts looked new. I took my beanie, scarf, and jacket off, setting them on the couch nearby. "Hello?" - **** quick content and trigger warning possibility. Regarding the fanfics that revolve around the tmnt fandom and series versions, I personally have read many that involve hard language (cursing) and depictions of violent scenes bc it's whats in the storylines of all versions of tmnt across the board and through the decades. As stated in the information for the previous book for this mini series, if anything is offensive in any such way or should be corrected, feel free to reach out and comment or PM me regarding it and I'll gladly hear you out in order to learn from the mistake I made for future reference. (Not finished, never will finish it. Funny to say, I wrote this back in my first year of high school for, honestly, shits and giggle but it blew up???? Idk... but I kinda just lost the original plot so it's all over the place, grammar doesn't make sense, nothing in this fucking book makes sense. Looking back and maturing A LOT, I don't feel or think that way. I understand we all have different writing skills or grammar; but that is simply just not in my case. He just hates adults and loved to cause mischief, so he fucked around and screwed Captain Hook over, pretty much giving him that name after cutting off his hand and feeding it to that crocodile. Now Captain Hook is always being harassed by Peter because Peter thinks it's fun I guess? Cause he obviously isn't actually trying to kill him or anything. Just annoy the piss out of him and torment him. Aaanyways, I just got bored and wanted to make this. I tried my best to stay true to the original cartoon.
