Once Samantha accepts her order to return to Top Gun for a special detachment mission, there's only one thing on her mind: being chosen to fly for the mission. Until her sights set on Robert "Bob" Floyd across the bar, making her realize that this detachment may turn into something bigger, or so she hopes. During her second round with Top Gun, she encounters old friends, enemies and new friendly faces. Despite knowing she was one of the best of the best, Samantha faces challenges against the other pilots and discovers there's much more to learn even if you're the best. While learning more about her pilot abilities both on the sky and the ground, she also learns more about herself and another certain pilot.
