The Fallen Heir

After the death of King Aenar Targaryen, the fate of the Seven Kingdoms remained uncertain. Princess Vaella Targaryen, Aenar's sole heir to the Iron Throne, was still an infant at the time of her father's death and unable to assume her birthright. Queen Shaera whisked the princess away to the safety of Dragonstone while Aenar's brother Viserys usurped the throne with his queen consort, Alicent Hightower. However, soon Dragonstone was invaded and Shaera was killed, allowing Vaella to be forcibly taken back to King's Landing. Still a child and niece to Viserys, Vaella's life was spared. She was stripped of her title and birthright, and made ward to the King.
Years passed as Vaella lived confined to the castle and ostracized by the court, with revenge a seemingly impossible thought. Eventually, Vaella is no longer seen as such a prominent threat, until she comes of marrying age. As Vaella begins her marriage tour and Viserys' health declines, tensions rise and alliances form. The game of thrones is brewing, and Vaella has finally come to play. The only question is, will she win?
