Missing piece

I feel lost, though I can't quite explain why. There's a piece of me missing, but no matter how hard I search, I can't find it.

Is it a person? A memory? Something I've forgotten or something I never had?

Maybe I'm just being dramatic, trying to make sense of something that isn't even there. Maybe there's no missing part of me at all, and I'm simply looking for something that doesn't exist.

But the emptiness lingers, like a question without an answer. And I can't shake the feeling that something is slipping through my fingers.
