Everybody wants John to be something. His family wanted to marry him off to some rich guy. Isaac wants him to be a wizard. But John has run away from home, determined to follow his own dreams. And his dream is to be a private eye, just like in all the Raymond Chandler novels he read as a child. He can only hope that the detective skills he learned from those books are still relevant when it's 1996 and he's homeless in the big city... I was trying to write a book, all the way from initial concept to publication, in November 2024. All feedback appreciated. Curiosity Didn't Kill This Cat
Do you always listen to the little voice in your head? Does it always tell you the right thing to say or do? I know mine doesn't. I'm not taking about you conscience. That's a whole other discussion. I'm talking about your curiosity. It is a little known fact that being inquisitive about other people's affairs may get you into trouble. To simplify that lovely proverb I'm just saying that curiosity can kill the cat. Sadly enough humans are curious by nature. This is a story about an executive, his personal assistant, and his current bed partner who is his personal assistant's ex-boyfriend. Curious yet?
