"Your hands are freezing, Bell," Kelly said, but I felt a scorching heat coursing through my veins. I glanced down at my fingers, and my blood ran cold. My nails had transformed into razor-sharp claws, elongating before my eyes.

My vision suddenly became crystal clear, and my hearing amplified. I picked up the sound of two rapid heartbeats around me. I swiveled around to face Kelly, and our eyes met. Her scream pierced the air.
