Please don't make me stay(escape)

Maria Reynolds married James Reynolds when she was 15. He forces her to do things she doesn't want to do with him (you know what). He is abusive, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to Maria. When Mariah meets the Schuyler sisters and their friends, will she get in trouble with James for hanging out with them? Will she get hurt even more? This will rock the boat(stir up the drama). Will she get help by her new found friends when she says please don't make me stay? Or will she never escape?
