Everyone is born with a designation. Although most people had an idea of what they would present as, you never fully knew what you would be until you presented at 13. That was when you found out if you were either a Dominant, a Switch, or a Submissive. Nothing to freak out over, it was just a personality trait, like being funny or serious. Just like personalities, the types of designations varied inside themselves. Mostly that classified as those who preferred the more . . . Extreme side of things of domination and submission, and those that enjoyed a . . . Shall we say, softer approach.
To top it all off, as if having a personality that was wholly dominant or Submissive or in between wasn't enough, Soulmates also existed. Yes Soulmates with a Capital S. There was none of that BS where you had marks on your body that looked like tattoos, or having their names written on the inside of your wrist. Instead you got tally marks that showed your number of Mates.
Everyone was born with one, some two, and rarely someone would have three. How many Soulmates you had, directly correlated with how Dominant or Submissive you were naturally. Those who were naturally more submissive tended to have more than one, the same went for Dominants. Something else that contributed to your amount of Mates was the kind of life you led. The rougher the life, the more Soulmates you had, and my life had been very rough. Which is probably why I had way more than 3 Soulmates, and why I presented as a Submissive.
Yup. No lies. No tricks. Just multiple Soulmates and a give 'em Hell attitude that was extremely rare in Submissives.
They were going to love me! Not . . .

~~Completed~~
Margaret had arrived almost 6 months ago now to visit her friend Natasha. After being rescued from the Red Room when she was just a young teen, Natasha had found her a family nearby so she could keep an eye on her. She had drifted around, even finished college, obtaining a psychology degree. But she wasn't happy or fulfilled. She wanted to do more. So she showed up at the compound to ask Natasha to let her stay, to let her prove herself. It took a few months, but they eventually trusted her enough to let her become an Avenger. Everyone it seemed, but Steve. He never accepted her, and she didn't know why. She respected him and what he stood for. But he never saw her as anything more than a child.
