They don't get hurt in any sort of way, they just see "black" and then yeah. Don't ask me how this works.

Arcane Explorers: An Eeveelution Story (Original Ver.)
It was around 150 years ago, when a war broke out among the 8 Eeveelution kingdoms. It was started by the Jolteon kingdom, as a war between themselves and the Vaporeon kingdom. The other kingdoms, excluding the Umbreon kingdom, joined sides with the Vaporeons, and nearly wiped out the Jolteon species completely. The Espeons mined out most, if not all of the thunder stones nearby, and hid them away. That was 150 years ago now. Jolteons are an incredibly rare sight these days. The other Eevees and Eeveelutions have been taught over the years that Jolteons are evil and soulless, and that evolving into one will change your mind for the worse, as well as being a sin against Arceus. Now, about 6 years ago, a couple exploring an old mine discovered one of the very few remaining thunder stones. They brought it home with them, but not without being spotted. Just a week later, they were forced to run away to protect their son from being discovered. They left both him, and the thunder stone behind. Now, 6 years later, there's a certain shiny Jolteon who's about to go on a journey. What may happen along the way? (This is the rewrite of Inside and Out. Some parts may be reused from the original.) Rouge is a young Trainer from the Hoenn Region who's been traveling through the Kalos Region with his team of Pokémon: Flygon, Delphox, Lucario, Blaziken and Eevee. But the young trainer has come a stand still in his journey. He's made it to Anistar City to face against the Psychic Pokémon Gym Leader Olympia. After his lose to the Gym Leader Rouge runs into his older brother Rodney, a much stronger Trainer then he is. Facing his brother in a practice battle and losing in a great defeat Rouge see just how weak and naïve he's been the whole time. Now Rouge is going for his second time at the Anistar City Gym, there's just one problem, Eevee is missing. After running off the night before when Rouge told him that he wont be using him in the upcoming battle. Eevee went off to do some late night training with a wild Absol. Worried about his old friend Rouge knows he still has to go ahead with his Gym Battle. About to star his battle, Eevee suddenly shows up ready for battle. Now Eevee has a choice to make, for the sake of his trainer, who will he evolve into after 24 hours since his last battle? The Sun Pokémon Espeon or Moonlight Pokémon Umbreon? Within a mystical world called Alora, Vanito, a robotic Eevee lives peacefully in the Luminian cities. It's his 18th birthday, and his older Glaceon friend, Nequam is really eager about his future life and his future manhood. Though something goes wrong during all this, as the wise Alolan Ninetails, Tentatio, isn't here to celebrate with Vanito. As questions brew in his mind of where his wise friend could be, he accidentally comes in contact with an ancient plague that has loomed in a restricted area for many thousands of years. His world crumbling-or rather, his perception of the world crumbling, Vanito has to find a solution to the virus corrupting his code. This is a mini story that takes place within Alora in "Shattered Shadows." All the events that take place in this book ARE canon to that story. Don't worry, you don't have to read Shattered Shadows first, as the experience should not be hindered with in any way! Go ahead and begin with either if you're planning to read both! For clarification, yes, despite the Pokémon being Protogens, they still walk the same way the non-Protogen version does. So if the Pokemon is quadrupedal, then that character will be quadrupedal. The main purpose of this story is to expand upon the world of Alora, since I'm kinda struggling to incorporate it into the main story... sowwy... 14 year old Ari has finally gotten her first pokemon and is ready to begin to train to be the best pokemon trainer in Unova. But then she meets Team Plasma, an organization who talk about liberating pokemon from people. This makes some trainers, especially Ari, feel guilty about being pokemon trainers. Then Ari meets N, a mysterious pokemon trainer who is saying simalar things to what Team Plasma is saying. She thinks N is part of Team Plasma but something is telling her not to trust her gut feeling. When N tells her that he is the King of Team Plasma, things change. Now it's a race to find the legendary dragon pokemon of Truth and Ideals. Will Ari find and befriend one of these legendary dragons before it's too late? Or will Team Plasma capture them both and commamnd all of Unova and the rest of the world to release their pokemon. Author's Quick Note: I do not own pokemon or pokemon Black and White.
