Eleanor "Ev" Harrington, the younger sister of the infamous "King Steve" is your average, run of the mill, girl; living in Hawkins Indiana, in the 1980s.

She has a group of friends to play DnD with and get bullied with; she loves reading Garfield the cat comics no matter how lazily written they are, she loves to listen to her cassette collection, and she has a giant secret of which she has been taught to hide.

People have asked why she goes by "Ev" when there's no "V" in her actual name. And She can't tell them it's because of a stupid tattoo on her wrist that she hides under a layer of makeup each day, that reads 012. She can't tell them she escaped the lab of which she lives within a ten mile radius from, when she was six and was given to a local family. And she especially can't tell them she has mind powers that she has continued to practice secretly, which her very own parents don't know about.

But when her best friend disappears one night and her and her party stumble across another girl who feels just a bit to familiar but she just can't seem to place why; will the secrets spill and the traumatic memories return?
