Everyone has questions that were left unanswered. But what does someone do if the only person who can answer those questions is murdered? 

When Harley Hepburn decides to come back to her hometown since she left due to emotional abuse of her father. She decides to confront her biggest fear and gain answers to questions that she has had for the first time in 4 years. With many things on her mind  she meets a mysterious male with piercing cat-like green eyes and dark hair watching her the whole plane ride. When she arrives in Crosland at her childhood home she looks around for her father hanging from a tree. Who would murder her father? Why did they do it? And who is this mysterious man? 

When Marcus Sarrintino overhears a conversation about  Harley's return to town he stays hidden away and makes a truce with the shifters to not go near and or interact with her ,but as soon as he catches news of one of the leaders of a pack asking her on a date he turns into one of her honorary protectors even if his secret could ruin everything.  

Harley can either be the prey or they can finally fall in love like how they used to be.
