It has been at least one thousand years since the dehabitation of the planet Earth. A small team of scientists and populace launched several expeditions. One to Mars, another to Saturn - and it's many moons - and a last to Venus. All the years have past, and now, Mars is the capital of the Empire of humanity. The Empire has had a succession of great Emperors, expanding the territory all the way up, and including Saturn and anywhere within it's vast orbit. But three threats rose in this 'wars of pacification'. Earth has survived after a nuclear war that lasted a hundred or so years, and the men that littered it's vast, spoiled ground were changed, into great monsters and even greater fighters. Venus had also become independent. The storms of the planet were a perfect ground for a war like humanity, and years of fighting have changed the men in worse ways then the nuclear battered-earth. On the fringes of the galaxy, a nomadic tribe of war-mongering lizards and intelligent insects have broken into the star system, from seemingly nowhere. And swiftly claimed Neptune and Uranus as part of their domain. Jupiter is now a world of war and battle between the cohorts of Saturn and The alien swarms, fighting over it's moons and satellites. Now in the reign of the 'young emperor' of only sixteen, the Empire is most threatened, soon to be attacked on three flanks, it will be one of the greatest tests and endeavours of any united coalition of humanity. This war will require the need for the greatest soldiers in generations, and the willpower of every able man in the Empire. 'We will either win, and conquer, or lose, and perish. It is up to you to decide our fate...' - The First Emperor, adressing his men before the battle over Olympus Mons.

Humanity has long since spread from Earth, colonizing numerous nearby planets, moons, and even neighboring star systems. A united, peaceful expansion enjoyed by all of humankind. But those days are gone. Billions of years have passed since the first ships left Earth, stars have burned out and been replaced, the colonies lost or divided, rising anew thousands of times in history; now each one is united on its own surface, but every colony of mankind is isolated from the others. Earth has just overcome a cataclysm, Mars has undergone an uprising, the colonies across other stars are gone. Only Sol has shined forever. The focus shifts to the moons of Saturn, and those who reside there. Colonized eons ago from select groups of settlers from Earth and Mars, the six inhabited moons of Iedra, Feirro, Eympas, Alrotha, Torhindred, Titan, and Lyriptus- formerly entitled Enceladus, Mimas, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Titan, and Iapetus- each stand alone, in a perpetual feud started long ago. Some care not at all for the others one way or another. Some are too weak to meddle in the affairs of their neighbors. Some are so strong they are feared. Others still seek domination, and will do whatever they can to get it. Sol's light shines on the fatherworld, far away. Tensions only rise. Unity or division? Is there a difference? When the clouds loose the lightning, who will know from where and why it strikes?
