Emil Hart Whitlock (Emil Whitlock) is the youngest son of Duke Vylan Whitlock and Duchess Linnetia Hart, and the younger brother of the young masters/ladies Fennon Hart Whitlock, Zale Hart Whitlock, Raelle Hart Whitlock, and Isira Hart Whitlock.

The Whitlock family was one of the five first and supporting families of the, then, royal family of the Caddel kingdom.(now Caddel Empire)

The swords, the Sharpe family. The sheilds, the Vespertine family. The wings, the Laurier family. The staff, the Ashford family. The guardian, the Whitlock family. And the crown, the Caddel imperial family.

Emil was and still is the jack of all traits in the Whitlock family. He was like a perfectly balanced scale of smarts, magic, swordsmanship, healing, and defense.

That was exactly why the imperial family decided he would be the perfect choice to marry the imperial prince Aerich Caddel.

They first met during a play date when they were 5 and 7 years old. Aerich and Emil were practically inseparable before, they did everything together during the days they could meet one another. They signed a contract to get married once they've come of age. But, after a year of marriage, Emil had found out that Aerich, his newly wed husband already had another man. 'Xyrix' he called him, a commoner who has good looks and magic.

Emil, unsurprisingly, was crushed by this revelation. He just wanted to barge in and confront his cheating husband on who this lowly commoner was, but decided against it. He decided to pretend he had never found out and kept on being his loyal husband.

But what happens when, after 7 years of marriage, a child with the features of both Aerich and Xyrix bumps into him teary-eyed?

What would happen if Emil had spoken to a being not from his world?

In the 23rd year of the Longfeng reign, the Crown Prince of the Eastern Palace had been deposed for five years. Once a figure of otherworldly grace, he was banished to the imperial mausoleum, crushed under endless humiliation. That same year, the Emperor, blinded by the pursuit of immortality, let the West Bureau eunuchs seize power. At the helm was Xue Shu, the Chief Eunuch of the West Bureau-a man whose influence eclipsed the court, silencing opposition with a single wave of his hand. Even the throne itself danced to his tune. Princes grovelled and schemed, desperate to curry favor, hoping he would elevate them to the imperial seat. But no one could've guessed that Xue Shu would one day retrieve the deposed Crown Prince from exile and personally help him ascend to the throne. The once untouchable, iron-fisted eunuch, who held the empire in his grasp, willingly knelt at the feet of the resplendent new Emperor, offering himself as nothing more than a footstool. On the eve of the enthronement ceremony, Yin Chengyu bathed and burned incense. The infamous Nine Thousand Years (Jiuqian Sui) cradled the imperial robes in his arms, personally dressing the future Emperor. In the full-length bronze mirror, the scarlet-robed Chief Eunuch of the West Bureau wrapped his arms around the Emperor-to-be, lowering his head to breathe in his scent, his voice a husky whisper laced with a mocking smile: "Your Majesty has finally achieved your ambitions. Might you grant me the chance to fulfill mine?" But it was all a dream. Yin Chengyu woke, yanked from the memories of his past life. It was the 17th year of Longfeng. He was still the noble and untouchable Crown Prince. His mother's family had yet to be slaughtered, and he hadn't been confined to the mausoleum, isolated and helpless. There was still a chance to change his fate-by roping in that scheming eunuch and wagering everything on one final, desperate gamble. Then he met Xue Shu again.

He walked in a black Kurta with subtle green eyes and a deep voice. The moment he asked my name and age and then proposed to me for the wedding, I fell in love. There was no denying it. My love died. And, his never bloomed. I was once a bud, unbloomed Rose, who opened my deep red petals for him, and he turned them black, leaving me forgotten inside the dying pages.
