After losing the love of his life, Matthew Holmes quickly falls into a pit of despair aided by a drinking problem she helped him gain sobriety from. The twenty-three-year-old develops a "wet brain" and hallucinations as a result. So when he hears a knock on the door - the same gentle patter that was once his Margaret's - he can't help but wonder if it's just his imagination or Death coming to claim him too.
