17 year old Celene Rogers wants nothing more in her small town, in her small world. She spends every moment sharing it with her one and only friend, Tina. But her entire world turns upside down after a specially-planned birthday party for her best friend goes wrong. Very wrong.

Dangerous flying demons called Mimics, capture Tina and take her somewhere nobody can get to. Or can they?
On top of that, Celene discovers a secret organization: "The A.M.H.", where its students hunt down the special demons and destroy them.

Celene is thrown into a new world, one she never wanted to be a part of, and recruits Mimic hunters to find her best friend. She's paired with Noah, a charismatic Mimic Hunter she can't deny her growing feelings for, and his mysterious partner, Zane, a special outsider assassin assigned for her mission.
