Josie was excited for summer break to come. She just had to get through finals and then no more school or part-time job for two months.

It would be the third year, she and two of her best friends would go backpacking in a different part of the world. But this year wouldn't just be the three of them. Their friend group had grown by three, and one of them was her boyfriend of almost one year, John.

It was going to be a memorable time they would share before they each headed off to separate universities. 

No one could've predicted John would break up with Josie weeks away from summer break and during finals month, no less. 

And now, despite breaking Josie's heart, he would still be joining them on their month long vacation. And to stick the knife deeper, his new girlfriend would be tagging along.
