Mature
On a rainy night, a stag gets caught in the beam of Michelle's headlights. A collision is inevitable. When the young veterinarian lifts her head from the airbag, the stag is still standing, its eyes as bewildered as before, its antlers every bit as majestic, but everything else is different. The intimidating half-man, half-beast warns her to never drive through his forest after nightfall again but her scientific curiosity compels her to investigate this unheard-of species. When both google and academic literature fail her, the forest seems the only way to find out.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 '𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞' 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 'I love you. I'll find you. I love you.' The lengths one can go for love. The sacrifices one can make for love. The tortures one can endure for love. Marriage takes effort, and no one will find out just how much effort it takes like Sanya Pevensie will. Quests and transformations and mortality, and struggles painful enough that the Sanya who had been a Princess could never have imagined. Grief drives even the most wise of people to rashness, and no one understands that more than Edmund Pevensie does. Brash brothers, compatriots that were once enemies, and a Narnia that the Edmund of the Golden Age would not have recognised. But marriage and grief are not the forté for all. Susan prefers solemnity, and brooding in silence. Lucy thinks listening is all she can do, in her little body. Peter must protect his land, damned be the pretty dark eyes of the Prince who had stolen his home. And how easy humans are to manipulate? No one knows that better than the Faerie Queen. - 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦: Dark themes, violence, strong language, nonconsensual voyeurism, self-harm, attempted suicide, sexual scenes, mental and physical torture, use of f-slur, unintentional animal abuse, dubious sexual consent, reflection on past trauma, memory of attempted rape and assault, murder. . . . . . #3 in #narniaau (27/06/2022) #7 in #medievalfantasy (27/06/2022) #90 in #faeries (8/8/2022) •••• The Alliance Series, as found on @EdsGryff: 'Alliance' 'The Heirs' 'Moonshine' 'Fairytale?' ••••

I Applied for a Delivery Job and Got Turned Into a Flying Reindeer?!

25 parts Complete

When Justin Flinchley loses his job the day after Thanksgiving, he thinks his life is over. Without money to pay rent, he'll be celebrating Christmas in the streets unless he can manage to find a new job by the end of the week. But in the middle of his frantic job search, he comes across an ad that sounds too good to be true: "Air courier desperately needed. No experience necessary, we will train you. Must be willing to relocate." The moment Justin applies, he is whisked away to the North Pole, where he's given a shiny new pair of antlers and is told that he's the latest addition to Santa's team of magic, shapeshifting reindeer! An ancient evil is plotting to shroud the world in darkness, and only Santa's gifts can keep the light of hope in children's hearts shining bright enough to push it back. Justin has less than a month to learn how to fly before Santa's yearly trip around the world. The fate of Christmas--and the entire world--depends on him. There's only one problem: he's afraid of heights.
