They were formerly great friends, but when Garrett admitted to feeling something for Rose, she unexpectedly rejected him and left him in every way. Rose and Garrett's relationship was significantly tumultuous. Rose comes from a wealthy household; her mother runs a successful company, and her father is a politician. It makes sense that when they discovered that a lower-class employee was in love with Rose, they threatened to fire Garrett's mother if she didn't end things with Garrett. Rose loved Garrett as a friend, yet she could not take the chance of Garrett becoming homeless. Garrett is a business major and recently launched his business after 20 years. A meeting with him to talk negotiations has been requested by a different company. He is stunned to learn that Rose is the CEO of the neighbouring company. He's still in love with her despite many years.
