"Lance McClain, is it true that you defected from the Voltron team?" General Aratus was loud and seemingly happy with the proceedings thus far.

"Yes."

"Do you believe there is even the slightest possibility that your actions were spurred by your attraction to the emperor?"

"No, they were spurred on by my unending desire to do something good. You all sit high in your new council seats and point your fingers-"

"Order! Take your seat Paladin McClain," Aratus boomed, the gavel striking wood like lightning.

"-but in reality, if it weren't for me, for Lotor, for the paladins and lions of Voltron, you would all be dead by now. What more proof do you need? What more do you need me to give for you to realize that I was ready to die for you?"

Lance McClain survived the split from Voltron, survived the war, and now, must survive in a war-torn galaxy that has yet to heal. Zarkon's reign has finally ended, and with it, ushers in a new era. As Lotor prepares to take on the mantle of Emperor, Lance must now decide where he fits in this new world. Is his place beside his family in Varadero? Should he finally return to Voltron? Or, does he take a seat in a Galran throne as Emperor Consort?

With a new force on Earth's horizon ready to move in on the Voltron lions, and a galaxy full of those who seek revenge against the Galra for Zarkon's misdeeds, war isn't over just yet. Lance will have to choose his place, and in doing so, deal with the consequences.
