Rhaenyra and Daemon are asked by her father if her brother can stay with them while his home is being renovated. Aemond and Deirys meet each other without realizing they have met before, in another life. There is also the small problem that his niece is younger than he is, not that it stops Aemond from lusting and chasing after her. Deirys loves being chased, she also cannot help but feel she knows Aemond from somewhere. Parents, friends, school, and a forbidden romance. What can be better?
This story is the third installment of the Deirys universe series. It can be read as a standalone and it will be in modern times. I have no idea where this story is going. Like her mother, Princess Visenya Velaryon had grown closer with her uncle Aemond. The two children would often sneak away from their duties to play with the wooden swords Aemond had stolen for the Princess, or lay outside of the dragon pit watching as the creators of their house flew around, or sometimes they would sit in the gardens with the rest of the new generation of Velaryon and Targyern, sitting next to each other and often the of two children would lay their head on the others shoulder and drift to sleep grasping onto each other's hand. When the two were ripped apart from each other after a mishap about a claiming of a dragon and the loss of an eye, the two of them thought the other would forget about them. They would not be there to keep each other safe, and the fire they had burning within them would slowly be snuffed out. I saw the trailer for House of the Dragon season 2 and it just broke my heart how devastated Rhaenyra look. Since I know a lot of what will happen because I read the books. I decided I wanted to write them a happy ending. 😊 This is part of the Dragon's Heir universe. The Gods realize that the Targaryens are about to kill each other, especially after Lucerys's death. They have seen the way Rhaenyra's heart has harden and they want to save them from making more mistakes. The Gods decide to sent Daemon, Rhaenyra and Aemond to another world so they can see there is another path that can be followed. One that does not have to end in death and destruction. All three of them are sent to meet the Dragon's Heir and a different way of life.
