Me gustaría que se entendiera que los personajes no tienen relaciones familiares, solo uso sus nombres para que pongáis rostros a la historia. En esta historia no hay sexo, pero está catalogado con Madura por las muertes.

Durante su viaje de regreso, la señora Lillian es testigo de una escena horrible: en el tren que corre paralelamente al suyo, alguien estrangula a una mujer. Al llegar a su destino, le cuenta la historia a la policía y a su amiga la señorita Eliza. El comisario ordena una investigación rutinaria, pero no descubre nada y acaba por atribuir los hechos a la imaginación de la señora. Afortunadamente, la señorita Eliza presta atención a su amiga y pone en marcha su peculiar campaña detectivesca con el habitual y brillante resultado que la caracteriza.
