The Rise of the Librarians

Elizabeth Carson understands the experience of a life filled with magic-her father is The Librarian, even though she hasn't spoken to him in more than five years. However, since she hasn't come across any death notice, she presumes he still holds the title of The Librarian.

Elizabeth has made a conscious effort to be nothing like her father. She is an accomplished archaeologist with a strong reputation, having moved on from her fantastical background to focus on building a future rooted in reality.

However, everything changes when an attempt is made on her life and that of her relatively new friends. Suddenly, she is pulled back into the magical realm and the enigmatic world of The Library, something she has tried too hard to forget. This brings her into direct confrontation with her father, reigniting their troubled relationship.

She is not isolated, as a mysterious figure is eliminating potential Librarians. Consequently, five individuals find themselves entangled in the chaos of The Library; each receiving offers to join the ancient fellowship of knowledge and heroism.

They journey around the globe, investigating peculiar events, confronting age-old conspiracies, and safeguarding the innocent from the perilous, hidden realm of magic.

Who would have thought that saving the world once a week - and often twice before Friday ends - could be so complicated?
